Mirror v3 2x8

Since my custom LED control system was built on Arduino hardware, I decided to port the code to TouchDesigner to enhance functionality, improve flexibility, and expand its potential applications.

Similar to porting a video game to a much newer console generation, this process required deconstructing the core functions of the Arduino code and translating them into TouchDesigner’s node-based visual programming environment.

At the same time, I took the opportunity to redesign the system with a 2x8 layout, creating a cleaner, more intuitive structure aligned with sequencers and the 8-beat patterns common in electronic music.

Goals:

• Increased flexibility for adjustments and hardware compatibility

• Real-time audio-reactive pattern generation
